Women have historically responded to oppression by any means of survival and that has led many of them to problematic use and/or addiction. We use the "Self-In-Relation" theory that identifies the strong need for women to form lasting relationships in search for self-realization. Substance abuse education, treatment and support are the most effective ways to intervene in the development and progression of chemical dependency. Home of New vision specializes in substance abuse counseling providing services that are respectful of ethnic, cultural and spiritual needs of the person served. Home of new Vision is invested in facilitating a continuum of care; therefore appropriate referrals are made to such places as 12-step programs in the community, opportunities for vocational training, employment and educational workshops.

A gender specific treatment facility for women. The program provides a variety of groups and individual therapy designed to assist women in building a strong foundation for recovery and a life free from alcohol and drugs. Our philosophy is that chemical dependency is a treatable disease that can be interrupted at any point. Home of New Vision believes that there are additional needs for women that are not currently being addressed in the traditional treatment modalities. To fill this treatment gap we have designed a substance abuse outpatient service that addresses the needs of women. We provide individual and group counseling as well as family and couples counseling.
