Assessment and Referral Services:

At our Assessment and Referral service, we know that recovery is possible. We also know that once recovery is achieved, people need help getting their lives back on track. We are able to assist clients with obtaining assessments for Court and Probation, Driver License appeal and Child Custody.

Clients referred for services are offered an independent evaluation of their status including prognosis and diagnosis of substance related disorder. Unbiased reporting means both client and referral source can be confident that the client has obtained an unbiased assessment conducted by substance abuse professionals.

This program is designed to assess adult and adolescent clients’ substance use as well as to gather and assess information that will allow us to address other needs that the client may have such as medical concerns; housing; education; mental health; and, family and social relationships. At Home of New Vision we hope to assist clients in breaking down barriers in all aspects of their lives.

Outpatient Treatment Program/Women:

Our philosophy is that chemical dependency is a treatable disease that can be interrupted at any point. As women have historically responded to oppression by using any means of survival available - which has led many of them to problem usage and/or addiction - Home of New Vision believes that there are additional needs for women that are not currently being addressed in the traditional treatment modalities. To fill this treatment gap we have designed a substance abuse outpatient service that addresses the needs of women. We use the "Self-In-Relation" theory that identifies the strong need for women to form lasting relationships in search for self-realization.

Outpatient Treatment Program/Men:

We have expanded our outpatient treatment program to include services for men, emphasizing what it means to be a male in recovery, how to take responsibility and to create a social sense of self that does not include alcohol and drug use.

Outpatient Programs/General:

Substance abuse education, treatment and support are the most effective ways to intervene in the development and progression of chemical dependency. Home of New Vision specializes in substance abuse counseling by providing services that are respectful of the ethnic, cultural and spiritual needs of the person served.

The outpatient program provides a variety of group and individual therapy opportunities designed to assist women and men in building a strong foundation for recovery and a life free from alcohol and drugs. We provide individual and group counseling as well as family and couples counseling.

At Home of New Vision, we are invested in facilitating a continuum of care; therefore appropriate referrals are made to community resources such as: 12-step programs; opportunities for vocational training; and, employment and educational workshops.

Transitional Housing

is a long-term live-in program located in a family-style, home setting. Therapeutic services are provided at our CARF accredited outpatient office. This is a six to twelve month program for chemically dependent women where we provide a safe and structured living environment for women that are committed to personal, spiritual and emotional growth.

We believe that renewal in these three life areas is essential for ongoing recovery. Our goal is to assist each woman in realizing her full potential as a productive, responsible and self-sufficient member of society. We do this through relapse prevention, goal setting, spirituality and other groups that offer a wide variety of life skills education, along with weekly outpatient counseling. We emphasize the utilization of abstinence-based support groups such as Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous.
